Over the past 29 years South Vancouver
Island Assessment and Resource Service counsellors have earned a well-deserved
reputation for providing quality assessment, counselling and intervention
services to organizations, their employees and family members. When we opened
our doors in 1980, we provided service to one worksite with less than 200
employees. And now offices in Duncan, Nanaimo and Port Alberni provide wellness
services to over 6200 employees and their families in these local communities!
Island EFAP's Mission, Goals and
Values
Our mission is to reduce human suffering, build stronger families and encourage safety and health at the workplace and in the community. The services and programs that we currently provide have been designed and implemented over the years to benefit the employee (and family), the workplace and the employer. We believe in helping each organization we work with to maximize the impact of their effectiveness by delivering counselling and other resources that focus on employee and workplace wellness.
We strive to make a significant difference in people's lives and are guided by a number of goals and values in this effort. We exist to promote the well being of employees and their families. We believe in
the values of education and learning. We also believe in the value of prevention and in the principle of early intervention. Workplace initiatives heighten the profile of our services and encourage individuals and families to seek assistance earlier rather than later.
We believe in the importance of availability and accessibility and implement this with a competent staff that can be contacted immediately in the office or over the telephone. We believe in the value of teamwork. Each and every member of our team plays a significant role in the delivery of our service and your overall level of satisfaction with our program.
It is our service delivery goal, to
meet and exceed your expectations. We actively solicit your feedback to
determine our success in the area.
